Questions students ask
60 questions, all compulsory, 100 marks in 3 hours:
Section A: 30 MCQs. A wrong answer loses 1/3 mark (1-mark questions) or 2/3 mark (2-mark questions).
Section B: 10 MSQs, 2 marks each, no negative marking. You score only if you pick every correct option and no wrong one.
Section C: 20 NAT questions, no negative marking.

IIT JAM BT is not only biology. Across these 11 papers, Chemistry is the biggest subject (106 questions), then Mathematics (82), Physics (74) and Biochemistry (72). Chemistry, Maths and Physics together make up about 40% of the paper.
