How It Started
We didn't plan to build a company. We planned to fix something broken.
PsiGenei didn't start in a boardroom. It started in the libraries, canteens, and long campus walks of IIT Bombay.
We were students ourselves, preparing for the same exams, navigating the same confusion. Everyone around us seemed funnelled down one narrow path: BSc to MSc to PhD to postdoc. And then what? We didn't have a real answer either.
The exam prep options were generic. The mentorship, if you could find it, was inaccessible to most. And the students who needed help the most were figuring it all out on their own.
We spent five years mentoring life sciences aspirants before PsiGenei existed. Hundreds of students. The same questions. The same gaps. Every year.
At some point, the only honest response was to build what was missing.
