1. General

This Privacy Policy explains how PsiGenei EdTech Services LLP ("PsiGenei", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our website at psigenei.com, our platform Test Manthan, and any related services (collectively, the "Platform").

PsiGenei EdTech Services LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership registered under the laws of India.

2. Data we collect

We collect and process the following categories of data:

  • Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password at the time of registration.
  • WhatsApp Number: When you give it at sign-up or when you join a course waitlist, with your consent, to send you the updates you asked for.
  • Educational Profile: Educational qualification, college or university name, degree, year of study, and target competitive examination(s) (such as CSIR NET, GATE, IIT JAM, GAT-B, or others).
  • Free Downloads and Free Mock Sign-ups: Your email address and the permissions you give (exam guidance, offers and our newsletter), recorded with the date. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link that withdraws them.
  • Mentorship: When you book or request a 1:1 Mentorship session: your booking details and your answers to the intake questions. Your mentor sees your first name, your intake answers and any CV you upload; we never give them your email address or phone number, so leave those out of your CV if you prefer. On Google Meet, your mentor also sees the name on your Google account. If you apply to become a mentor, the details and documents you send are used only to review your application.
  • Payment Information: Billing name, billing address, and transaction details processed through our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We do not store your credit card, debit card, or UPI details on our servers. These are handled entirely by Razorpay in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
  • Communication Data: Any messages, queries, or feedback you send to us through email, contact forms, or customer support channels.
  • Device and Browser Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, click patterns, test sessions attempted, questions answered, scores, accuracy, time per question, and syllabus or topic preferences.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyse Platform usage. See Section 6 (Cookies) for details.

3. Why we collect your data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To create and manage your account, deliver test content, track your performance, personalise your study experience, and provide access to features you have subscribed to.
  • Payment Processing: To process subscription payments, issue receipts, and maintain transaction records as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
  • Communication: To send you service-related notifications (such as subscription confirmations, test reminders, and platform updates), and to respond to your queries and support requests.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for their marketing purposes.

We may share your data with third parties where such sharing is reasonably necessary to offer the Service, legally required, or permitted by you. For instance, we may provide personally-identifiable information to payment gateways, hosting providers, professional advisors, regulatory authorities, and any service providers who help us to provide better services to you.

PsiGenei may use aggregate or anonymous data collected through the Service, including Activity Data, for any purpose. This data may be used by PsiGenei and shared with third parties in any manner.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our Platform. They help us recognize your browser, maintain your session, and understand how you use the Platform.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect core Platform functionality but may limit our ability to personalise your experience and measure advertising effectiveness.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons.

When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on the Platform with a revised "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will seek your consent to the updated terms.
